The Isle of Dogs- Before the Big Money

This is the second book in the series ‘Vintage Britain’ by East London Publishers Hoxton Mini Press. It follows on from the phenomenally successful East End In Colour, and gives us a glimpse of the Isle of Dogs before Canary Wharf and the global finance industry took over.

Mike Seaborne was Senior Curator of Photographs at the Museum of London until 2011, and has been photographing London since 1979.

Taken between 1982 and 1987, these photos show a changing world as industry declined, demolitions began and the money moved in.
